My school's way to recognize students as the progress through the different point clubs of Accelerated Reader
Recognition of each child's uniqueness
It is my desire as an educator to help students meet their fullest potential by providing an environment that is safe, supports risk-taking, and invites a sharing of ideas.
Setting goals and reflecting on past learning is an efficient way to further motivate students. By doing these things, students become active in taking control of how they learned and what they overcame, and they feel a sense of accomplishment.
For students to achieve their best I keep in mind two guiding principles that I feel every educator should strive to achieve in their classroom community 1- Student Empowerment 2 - Each Child's Uniqueness Learning is a life-long journey
These students are showing off their edible cell that was made for our "Cell-a-bration" day
I watch my students grow in their ability to be independent learners, problem solvers and deep thinkers.
My desire is to fan this flame of learning EARLY and keep it going!
By allowing students to see, touch, smell, feel, and even taste new things, I hope to provide learning experiences that are both exciting and memorable.
Student Empowerment
My classroom jobs which are changed weekly. Students take turns choosing their jobs.
I firmly believe that for students to construct knowledge, they need the opportunity to discover for themselves and practice skills in authentic situations.
Providing students access to hands-on activities through the use of inquiry and allowing adequate time and space to use materials that reinforce the lesson being studied creates an opportunity for individual discovery and construction of knowledge to occur.
